A visit to a glass manufacturing company offers fascinating insights into the production process. Prior to the excursion, we discussed the organizational structure and marketing of Riedel in class. During the excursion, we were in a museum, where we saw much of the history of “Riedel”. Skilled workers and shape the glass into wineglasses and vases. We also learned about quality control, every wineglass has a different shape and is used for another sort of wine.

Overall, the excursion was a great experience. We saw the machines and workers in action. It was interesting to see how the workers turn glass into beautiful products. The trip helped us understand the hard work behind glass production and deepened our understanding of the topics we discussed in class about Riedel's organizational structure and marketing. It was a fun and educational day, and we enjoyed it very much.
